The Quironsalud Proton Therapy Centre is the first in Spain, it began operating in 2019.
The center is located a few steps from the Quiornsalud University Hospital, which allows to provide systemic oncological treatment and any care that the patient may need, in addition to proton therapy.
The University Hospital provides oncological treatment for both children and adults, providing the necessary chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. This allows us to provide comprehensive care to each patient.
Research, technological innovation and the efforts of health professionals lead us to the creation of increasingly safe, effective and personalized cancer treatments.
The Quironsalud Proton Therapy Center is a space that will contribute to improving the results of oncological treatment and the quality of life of patients.

Proteus®ONE is IBA’s single-room proton therapy solution. It is a compact technology that is easy to install, integrate, operate and finance. It is also scalable, so you can expand over time.
Proteus®ONE focuses on patient comfort and accessibility while delivering the most clinically advanced form of proton radiation therapy. Thanks to pencil beam scanning, it minimizes radiation exposure to healthy tissue. It also uses image guidance with embedded x-ray obliques and CBCT imaging at isocenter.

Elekta Unity MR-LINAC combines a high-field 1.5T MRI scanner with a linear accelerator, allowing real-time tumor visualization during radiation therapy and adaptive treatment adjustments for improved precision.
It is particularly valuable for tumors in organs that naturally move during treatment, including the prostate, pancreas, liver, and lungs. In selected cases, MR-LINAC may also reduce the number of treatment sessions compared to standard radiotherapy.
Unlike proton therapy, which focuses on reducing radiation exposure beyond the tumor, MR-LINAC focuses on real-time imaging and adaptive accuracy. At the Quirónsalud Proton Therapy Center, both technologies are available to support personalized treatment planning.
